Why Artificial Intelligence (AI) is superficial intelligence?

People seem to be obsessed with AI these days. People are saying that AI will take over human beings in a few decades from now. But is it really going to happen?

It is IMPOSSIBLE. I will tell you why.

What is AI?

You know the definition. I don’t want to repeat it here. Just understand that artificial intelligence means something “artificial”. That is right, it is not real. That is why I like to call it superficial intelligence. It has no substance. It is superficial. All it can do is make some complex computations.

A highly sophisticated robot is just like our mind. But you have to understand that creativity does not come through the mind. Only when the mind is resting, there is some creativity, that comes from within you. A robot can never be creative. Creativity can only come from the one who created the robot. Creativity can only come from human beings, from human consciousness.

A robot can only do some computations. For computations, it can definitely do better than our mind. With available supercomputers these days, very complex computations can be done in a matter of few seconds. This is absolutely true. But don’t forget that, even the best of the best supercomputers were made by human minds. So we can’t really say that they are better than a human mind.

We can pack all the information in its hardware and train it (using some algorithm) to do some work. For a given question, it can extract the best answer using a large volume of data set. It can do a thousands of calculations, identify hundreds of viable options, and give you the best option. There is no doubt. But it cannot create anything new. A robot can never be creative. The creator exists only within human beings. You cannot infuse ‘consciousness’ within a robot.

We human beings rejoice in simple things. A human being becomes happy in doing simple things. Complicating things is not intelligence. Simplifying things is real intelligence. The mind cannot simplify things. It can only complicate. Only ‘you’, the intelligence within you can simplify things.

Think differently. Think responsibly. Do not empower something that will destroy yourself in the future. Instead, lets empower the human beings who are sleeping on the streets — they have enormous possibilities.
